We might not be at the finale of Joan Vassos’ love story just yet but The Golden Bachelorette winner has already been revealed.
Now that Joan has picked her final three after hometown dates, we’re inching closer to seeing her pick which lucky man gets her final rose. However, Reality Steve, Bachelor Nation‘s go-to source for secrets and spoilers in the franchise, has already revealed who he believes to be the winner of The Golden Bachelorette — so don’t read any further if you don’t want spoilers!
After first revealing who his sources say wins the series in an Aug. 27 Instagram post, Steve issued a major update on Sept. 19 and fans are freaking out about Joan’s alleged match.
61-year-old Joan originally appeared on Gerry Turner‘s season of The Golden Bachelor and won over audiences when she cut her journey short to go be with her postpartum daughter who needed support after giving birth. On The Golden Bachelorette, fans will see her pursue her own love story which reportedly ends with a surprising twist!
Who wins ‘The Golden Bachelorette’?
Chock Chapple is reportedly the winner of Joan’s The Golden Bachelorette season. “Joan is with Chock Chapple. I do not know if they got engaged or not,” Bachelor Nation expert Reality Steve wrote his Sept, 19 Instagram post.
Joan’s final three suitors are Chock, Guy and Pascal (who is reportedly at the center of a major twist later in the season!) after she said goodbye to fan favorite, Jordan, after their date in Chicago.
The post was an update and correction of an August post which claimed that Joan ended up with a different contestant, Guy Gansert. Fans of the show quickly fell in love with the 66-year-old emergency room doctor and father of four, believing him to be a good fit for Joan.
But, it seems Chock might be an even better choice! Like Joan, who lost her husband of 32 years to pancreatic cancer in 2021, Chock is also looking for love after loss. Chock’s fiancée, Kathy, passed away due to brain cancer in 2022.
During Chock’s hometown date, Kathy’s dad was introduced to Joan and had nothing but good things to say about his late-daughter’s former partner. If that’s not a green flag, we don’t know what is.
Joan also shared her praise for Chock in an Oct. 23 appearance on The Viall Files podcast, something Chock’s critics won’t be too happy about!
When discussing who she had an instant connection with, Joan said, “Chock was one of those people.”
“Immediately, I loved what he did. The Chock-o-Noodle soup was hilarious,” she said, referencing Chock gift of homemade chicken noodle soup that he gave her when they met. “But the reason that was such a good thing to do is because I realized he went and figured out who I was and what was important to me.”
According to his official ABC bio, Chock is a 60-year-old insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas. He’s a thrill-seeker who once went nighttime shark diving in Australia.

“He’s kind, loves adventure, and has had a successful career owning his own business,” his bio reads. “Chock has a very full life with his kids, his adorable black Lab Super Tubbs, and his work, but he knows he’s missing the one thing he wants most — love.”
“He’s hoping this is his moment to meet the adventurous, compassionate woman he’s been looking for. When Chock isn’t working or spending time with his kids, he loves exercising and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. His guilty pleasure is shopping, and he can’t resist a good sale! Chock is totally a relationship guy, so let’s see if Joan is the long-term love he’s been dreaming of.”
We can’t wait to see this love story play out on screen!
Joan Vassos reportedly finds love with Chock Chapple after a season finale twist
Chock’s path to becoming the winner of The Golden Bachelorette reportedly wasn’t a smooth one. According to Reality Steve, Chock made it to hometown dates alongside Pascal Igbui, Guy Gansert, and Jordan Heller. Per his post, Joan eliminated Jordan after hometown dates. Then, in a major twist, Pascal decided to leave the show voluntarily because “he wasn’t in love with Joan.” It is unclear whether this happened after the final 2 or 3 and it is also unclear when or why Guy leaves the competition.
In typical Bachelor Nation fashion, Joan has not revealed any details about how the show pans out but she did tell Business Insider that she “came out such a happier person than I was when I went in.” Could Chock be the reason for this change?
Fans know that Reality Steve has a pretty solid track record when it comes to correctly predicting winners. Back in November 2023, he correctly revealed that Gerry gets engaged to Theresa Nist in the season finale of The Golden Bachelor.
However, he is known to change his predictions based on new intel — such as when he initially reported that Hannah Brown was engaged to contestant and second runner-up Tyler Cameron in season 15 of The Bachelorette before changing the spoiler to Jed Wyatt, the season’s winner.
The Golden Bachelorette is seeing Joan get her “second, second chance” after The Golden Bachelorette. Joan lost her husband of 32 years, John, in 2021 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. But, as she assures her some of her four kids in a July 29 promo, she’s not looking for a replacement.
“I just want our family to be whole again,” she said. “So let’s cheers! Cheers to a great adventure.”
She has some specific expectations, as she says: “I’m very picky about a man being a gentleman…Somebody with a big heart, somebody who is generous, and also somebody who’s humble.” From what we’ve seen so far, Chock definitely lives up to these standards so it’s no surprise he was picked as Joan’s winner!
