Ivanka Trump told the public two years ago that she was not joining Donald Trump’s third run for president, and she has stuck to her word. She did make a brief appearance at the Republican National Convention in July as a spectator, but her lack of support might signal something bigger that’s going on in the Trump family. 

Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. have taken on more prominent roles in the presidential campaign as Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, took a step back — and not everyone likes this change. “Different family members are the faces this time around and who are they? They’re the more MAGA. Junior is clearly MAGA. Lara Trump is a MAGA idiot, and her husband Eric is the same way,” former Republican congressman Joe Walsh told The Guardian. “Jared Kushner and Ivanka were never that way. They’re more polite, kind of high society folks so they were never really meshed with the whole MAGA thing.”

With Melania Trump focused on the promotion of her memoir, Melania, son Barron, 18, enjoying his freshman year at New York University and daughter Tiffany Trump pregnant with her first child, there appears to be two factions of the Trump family right now. “You know Trump is losing because Jared, Ivanka, and Melania are nowhere to be seen. If he was really ahead, they’d be all over the Campaign like jackals on a two-day-old gazelle corpse,” claimed Rick Wilson, co-founder of the anti-Trump group, the Lincoln Project to the media outlet.

In November 2022, Ivanka bowed out gracefully from politics for good. “I love my father very much. This time around I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics,” she said in a statement to CNN. “While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena. I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and I will always be proud of many of our Administration’s accomplishments.”

In May 2024, there was a rumored return to politics, per Puck News, but it only appears to be a brief flirtation. A source told the outlet that she was “warming to the idea of trying to be helpful.” The insider added, “[She’s] privately not ruling out having some sort of role. She’s not like ‘Hell no’ anymore.” That Ivanka renaissance did not come to fruition as she and Kushner focused on their socialite lives and the construction of a luxurious resort in Albania. 

If Donald Trump does return to the White House, it’s unclear if Melania is even interested in the first lady position. Ivanka and Kushner won’t be there either, so it leaves a big question mark as to how united the Trump family will be if he returns to Washington, D.C.

Melania Trump has been scarce on the campaign trail, preferring to live her own life outside of her husband, Donald Trump. He’s trying to win back the White House and she’s been busy promoting her new memoir, Melania. Still, the former first lady made a rare appearance at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in New York City on Thursday, Oct. 16.

The last time the public has seen Melania with the former president at an event was the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July — and she kept a relatively low profile there. The NYC event to benefit Catholic charities has been a must-attend night on the campaign trail for both Democrats and Republicans since the 1960s. That’s why an NBC News source said Melania was in attendance, noting, “It’s tradition,” while also hinting that “this could be a precursor to more activity.”

Melania’s attendance came at a very important time in her publishing career because her book hit a major milestone: she’s a New York Times bestselling author. Donald Trump bragged about this wife during his speech at Thursday’s event. “Can you believe she did a book,” he gushed, per The Daily Beast. “It’s a really good book and she worked hard on it, it just became number one on the New York Times list, that’s an easy thing to do especially when your name is Trump.”

Of course, he had to pat himself on the back, even though it was her accomplishment. Melania also made headlines for declaring her stance on abortion in the book at a time when women’s reproductive rights were being attacked. “Restricting a woman’s right to choose whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying her control over her own body,” Melania wrote. “I have carried this belief with me throughout my entire adult life.”

That’s a far different opinion from her husband, who stacked the Supreme Court with conservative judges who overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022. It’s a hot-button election-year issue that could help determine who becomes president in less than three weeks. Will Melania’s beliefs help or hurt Donald Trump’s chances? She doesn’t seem bothered either way since she doesn’t share the same political ambitions as her husband. Instead, she’s looking to move more merchandise and books because it wouldn’t be surprising for her to do a follow-up publication after her big success.

Donald Trump has been put on pause with his favorite pastime while he is running for president, and he’s probably not happy about it. The former president has been told to give up his beloved game of golf — for now. 

The 2024 GOP candidate has not played a round of golf since Sept. 15 when there was a second assassination attempt on his life, according to NBC News. His golf clubs are going to collect a bit of dust in the meantime, because another source confirmed with the media outlet that he has to put his passion on hold until after Nov. 5 — a request that was handed down by the Secret Service. 

Ryan Routh was arrested after laying down by “the brush along the fence line near the sixth hole,” waiting for the former president at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sept. 15, per the Justice Department. He pleaded not guilty to charges of an attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate and could face life in prison if he is convicted. Despite the arrest, Donald Trump’s golf game is on ice — and that has to hurt.

Donald Trump was often criticized for spending more time on the golf course than he did in the White House. CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller told CNN in May 2020 that former President Barack Obama “played golf once every 8.77 days as president. Trump, conversely, has been at a golf club once every 4.92 days.” The other well-known detail about Donald Trump’s golf game is that he likes to win at all costs — yep, there’s some cheating happening out there on the green. 

“I’ve always said golf is like bicycle shorts. It reveals a lot about a guy,” sportswriter Rick Reilly joked on Deadline White House with Nicolle Wallace in March. “And what it reveals about this guy is that he cannot lose. Perhaps it’s best if Donald Trump takes a break from his golf game — for safety reasons, and so others can finally win. Boxer Oscar De La Hoya spoke on the record to the Associated Press in 2016 after playing a round of golf with Donald Trump where the former president boldly cheated twice. “Yes, I caught him,” De La Hoya said. “It was unbelievable. But I guess it was his course, so it was his rules.”

Melania Trump’s memoir, Melania, was released on Tuesday, Oct. 8 and it finally gave her version of events to the hand “swat” heard around the world. The internet lost its mind in May 2017 when the former first lady was visiting Tel Aviv, Israel with Donald Trump.

As they were exiting Air Force One, the cameras caught the former president trying to reach for his wife’s hand as they walked down the red carpet. A moment later, it looked like she moved his hand away in annoyance or anger — whatever it was, it became a viral video. In an excerpt from her book, via Variety, Melania shared her side of the story. She described it as a “mere misunderstanding” due to the “protocol” of the event — “the president and prime minister walk side by side, with their spouses trailing behind.”

However, things didn’t go as planned, and “[Prime Minister] Bibi [Netanyahu] ended up holding his wife’s hand, and my husband walked beside them — three abreast.” Melania wrote, “The red carpet simply could not accommodate all four of us abreast. I allowed my husband to continue walking with the prime minister and his wife, opting to take a step back.” That’s when the real mayhem began.

“When he reached out to offer his hand, I declined, indicating that I was perfectly content walking on my own. It was a minor innocent gesture, nothing more,” she continued. That is at least Melania’s version of events even if the video seems to show something different — but protocol is protocol and we aren’t often privy to that situation. The real issue is that the swatting happened more than once during Donald Trump’s administration and the former first lady didn’t offer any further insight into those incidents.

“There was a time that things looked a little bit iffy in their marriage you may recall where she wouldn’t hold his hand . . . it’s very possible that they then sat, they brought the lawyers in and they redid the agreement . . . I think she may have potentially — I’m only speaking from opinion I don’t know it to be fact, but I think, knowing Melania — being calculating, which she is — she may have upped the ante at some point,” Cohen said.

The public may never know the real truth about the couple’s marriage which seems to draw fascination from everyone. Melania marches to the beat of her own drum that sometimes feels like she’s calling the shots behind closed doors and rarely wants to be seen with her husband in public.

Melania Trump’s memoir, Melania, drops on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and it’s sure to be a hit. It currently stands at No. 2 on the Amazon Charts because her fans are clamoring for an inside look at her mysterious life with Donald Trump. While her world may look easy from outside the walls of Mar-a-Lago, the former first lady hints that her relationships with her husband’s adult children might not be smooth sailing behind closed doors. 

According to an excerpt obtained by The Daily Beast, Melania noted the “intricate dynamics” when it comes to interacting with Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump, from the former president’s marriages to Ivana Trump and Marla Maples — and it sounds complicated. “While I do not agree with every opinion or choice expressed by Donald’s grown children, nor do I align with all of Donald’s decisions, I acknowledge that differing viewpoints are a natural aspect of human relationships,” Melania wrote vaguely in her memoir. 

While it sounds like she doesn’t want to drudge up any dirty Trump family laundry, it’s no secret that Melania and Ivanka didn’t see eye to eye when during Donald Trump’s administration. Katie Rogers’ book, American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden, took a closer look at the women’s frosty relationship. 

The former first lady called Ivanka “The Princess” behind her back, per Rogers, and they were often “locked in a quiet competition for press coverage.”  Stephanie Winston Wolkoff shared similar stories about Melania and Ivanka’s rivalry in her 2020 book, Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady.

“Melania lived in New York. She didn’t appear in public or release statements to the press. Her social media was quiet,” Wolkoff wrote. “Ivanka rushed in to fill the void as ‘acting’ First Lady, issuing constant social media posts and press releases galore about her involvement with women’s issues, lobbying Daddy about climate change (alas, unsuccessfully), and attending every meeting she could slink her way into.”

Melania probably didn’t want to dive into the family politics in her memoir, especially during an election year. Her book appears to give a much glossier version of her first date with Donald Trump to their A-list wedding — it’s a look back at what their life was like as Manhattan socialites instead of controversial public figures.

The latest affair rumors, reported by Mediaite, noted that the three women had been “sharing their alleged experiences in text messages with others in the wake of the scandal involving Kennedy and New York magazine correspondent Olivia Nuzzi. RFK Jr.’s spokesperson was quick to issue a denial that the politician has engaged in any infidelity since marrying Cheryl Hines in 2014. “This story is untrue. Mr. Kennedy has had no romantic relationships with any woman other than his wife since their marriage,” they said.

The outlet believes that the cheating stories could jeopardize RFK Jr.’s standing with Donald Trump. The Trump campaign is in a tight race and the last thing they want is a brewing scandal from a former presidential candidate. “Trump is concerned,” an insider noted. “He’s concerned that there are more women, and that more affairs will come out. Right now, they are waiting to see if the news cycle will blow over, but it won’t, which has Trump reconsidering Bobby’s value.”

The reports also can’t be good news for his marriage to Hines, who is allegedly ready to pull the plug on their 10-year marriage. Page Six believes it isn’t the cheating rumors that have turned their relationship icy, but it’s her husband’s dreaded association with the controversial former president. “The guy is a serial philanderer, and she knew that coming in,” the outlet’s source alleged. “She knew she was getting in with a Kennedy who is known for being an infamous womanizer, but she never signed up to be a member of Trump World!”

The emergence of three more women adds to a tale that is rapidly unfolding when Nuzzi was placed on leave after being forced to disclose her relationship with RFK Jr. The former presidential candidate denied the claims, but Nuzzi’s engagement to Politico reporter Ryan Lizza ended when he discovered their dalliance. Lizza is also finding himself in hot water for allegedly harassing his ex after their breakup. It’s a tale that doesn’t seem to have an ending because each chapter keeps writing itself in the most surprising ways.

On Oct. 8, Melania Trump is finally sharing her memoir, Melania, with the world during a crucial time in Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. She’s busy promoting the book while her husband is trying to win the White House again, and not everyone loves her timing. 

Fox News personality Howard Kurtz criticized the former first lady on Sunday, Sept. 29 because she had “barely been visible in this campaign,” per Newsweek. Fox News analyst Kat Timpf agreed with Kurtz calling it “very odd timing” to be so absent since Election Day is just 36 days away. Melania is a popular figure in the Republican Party and as Kurtz noted, “When she speaks, I feel like I listen because she doesn’t speak often.” Her voice could be an important one for the close election, but Melania prefers to promote her own projects. 

Melania’s former BFF and adviser Stephanie Winston Wolkoff told the Associated Press on Sept. 25 that the former first lady has likely scheduled her calendar this way on purpose. “She is capitalizing on the time she has left before the election. Her (market) value is gone if she is no longer a prospective first lady,” Wolkoff explained. “If Harris wins, I believe people will want to move on.” The GOP wants her on the road, but Melania found another way to keep herself firmly planted in New York City and away from the campaign trail.

Barron, 18, went to New York University this fall, but he didn’t leave home to do it. “I could not say I’m an empty nester. I don’t feel that way,” Melania Fox News Channel‘s Ainsley Earhardt on Thursday, Sept. 2. “It was his decision to come here that he wants to be in New York and study in New York and live in his home, and I respect that.” So, Melania is still helping her son navigate this next chapter in his life since he’s opted out of the college dorms. 

Melania has found a way to also opt out of Donald Trump’s campaign even though the former president promised to NBC News in September 2023 that she would be joining him on the road when “it’s appropriate.” He added, “She’s a private person, a great person, a very confident person, and she loves our country very much.” Melania may love the U.S., but it doesn’t sound like she wants to serve as first lady again.

Melania Trump’s first encounter with Donald Trump began in 1998 when they first crossed paths at a New York Fashion Week party. She wouldn’t give out her phone number, but she was happy to take his. After his divorce from Marla Maples was finalized in 1999, the duo officially began dating, but what that first date looked like seems open to interpretation by the former first lady. 

Melania sat down with Fox News on Sept. 26, and she shared how Donald Trump wooed her on their first night out together. “We went on a first date if you could call it a date,” she laughed. You see, Donald Trump took her on a business call to Bedford, New Jersey where he was thinking of buying property. It’s not the most romantic place to take a date, but Melania didn’t seem to mind. 

“And it was very nice, because we were two of us alone in the car for hour, hour and a half, and it’s no other noise, no other people, because at that time, he was already known and a celebrity,” she continued. “So, it was really nice to be just two of us.” Melania felt like she had a “connection” with him as Fox News reporter Ainsley Earhardt read an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, Melania. She described her husband as a “gentleman, displaying tenderness and thoughtfulness.” That sounds like a lovely memory for Melania, but it doesn’t line up with the first-date story she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2016. 

In that interview, she claimed that he took her Moomba on their first date. At the time, the restaurant was the trendy, celebrity hotspot in New York City. “Remember Moomba?” she asked the reporter. “It was a great place, wasn’t it? I remember that night like it was two months ago.” Well, it sounds like there are two different versions of her first date with Donald Trump depending on who she is talking to. We don’t know which story is true, but the Fox News story comes straight out of her book — so that might be the one she’s going with for now. 

This publicity push for her memoir is what her former friend and adviser Stephanie Winston Wolkoff explained to the Associated Press as an opportunity for her to be “capitalizing on the time she has left before the election.” She added, “Her (market) value is gone if she is no longer a prospective first lady. If Harris wins, I believe people will want to move on.”

It was Lizza who confirmed the end of his engagement to the New York Magazine reporter. He revealed in a statement on Friday, Sept. 20 on Politico‘s website, “Because of my connection to this story through my ex-fiancée, my editors and I have agreed that I won’t be involved in any coverage of Kennedy in Playbook or elsewhere at POLITICO.” Right there in black-and-white, he noted that he and Nuzzi broke up with two letters, “ex.”

Now a Vanity Fair exposé is offering more insight into the timeline of what went down between RJK Jr., Nuzzi, and Lizza. They are calling it a “flirtation” that began via text after Nuzzi wrote her New York Magazine profile on the former presidential candidate last November. It was a “digital relationship” that allegedly never became physical even though there were reported nude images sent to the politician, but she was not obsessed with him as the New York Post reported.

“She was not stalking him. She did not bombard him with images,” a Nuzzi pal explained to Vanity Fair. Her affair with RFK Jr. was reportedly discovered sometime ahead of the Democratic National Convention in mid-August because that is when Lizza and Nuzzi’s engagement ended. It resulted in an “at times heated” phone call between Lizza and RFK Jr., per Vanity Fair. At that point, RFK Jr. had to know that his affair was likely going to be made public at some point — the warning signs were all there.

While Nuzzi fessed up to her inappropriate relationship with the politician to her New York Magazine editor David Haskell after some coaxing, RFK Jr. is pretending nothing ever happened. “Mr. Kennedy only met Olivia Nuzzi once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece,” a representative for told NBC News on Friday, Sept. 20. As for Hines, she’s letting her jewelry do the talking for now after her wedding ringless finger was photographed by the Daily Mail that same day. It’s a saga that we didn’t have on our 2024 presidential election Bingo card, but RFK Jr. has proven to be an unpredictable factor in the already dramatic year.

In fact, per the New York Post, RFK Jr once, allegedly, had over 40 “mistresses” on his phone, including his now-wife Hines.

Back in 2014, which was now resurfaced by the same outlet, he allegedly had contact information for dozens of women in an alphabetical list. Not only that, apparently, the names were all under the letter “G,” which his second wife, the late Mary Kathleen Richardson, believed stood for “goomar,” an Italian slang for mistress.

So, this resurfaced report got us thinking: did he cheat on his other wives? Before Hines, RFK Jr was married to Emily Black from 1982 to 1994 and Richardson from 1994 til her death in 2012. And so many accounts show he did cheat on both of them.

Let us explain: In RFK Jr.: Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and the Dark Side of the Dream by author Jerry Oppenheimer, multiple sources close to RFK Jr revealed his cheating put a strain on his and Black’s marriage.

Now, what about Richardson? Vanity Fair revealed back in July 2024 that Kennedy was reportedly known for sending explicitly nude images to other women and engaging in multiple affairs.

Not only that, but before Richardson’s suicide, she instructed her sisters to publish his journal to media outlets, which detailed at least 37 affairs he had in his marriage to her, per New York Mag.

Now, why are RFJ Jr’s infidelities back in the spotlight again? Well, it’s been alleged that Kennedy had an affair with political reporter Nuzzi.

It was revealed earlier this week with New York Magazine‘s official “Note to Our Readers.” The statement read, “Recently our Washington Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi acknowledged to the magazine’s editors that she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign, a violation of the magazine’s standards around conflicts of interest and disclosures. Had the magazine been aware of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign.” Nuzzi is “currently on leave from the magazine, and the magazine is conducting a more thorough third-party review.”

Nuzzi later clarified what had happened, claiming it “was never physical,” but their emotional affair began in December 2023, just after her November profile on the then-presidential candidate was published, per The Washington Post.

“I deeply regret not doing so immediately and apologize to those I’ve disappointed, especially my colleagues at New York,” Nuzzi said in a statement to CNN.

How did RFK Jr respond? Well, his reps told The Washington Post, “Mr. Kennedy only met Olivia Nuzzi once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece.”
